The story plays in the late years of the15th century in the Italian city Verona. The two powerful families, the Montagues and the Capulets have been feuding with each other for years. And at that point the action begins and tells the story of two young people, out of different families that hate each other. Romeo, a montague, falls instantly in love, but is disappointed when he finds out that his object of the longing ( Juliet ) is a Capulet. Juliet notices Romeo too, but she is unaware that he is a member of the hated Montagues. The trouble begins and the two young people know that their love has not any future… 😉

Romeo
He is the hero and one of the protagonists of the story. He is the son of Old Montague and a young man of about sixteen, Romeo is handsome, intelligent, and sensitive. When he meets Capulet's daughter Juliet, he falls in love with her and becomes passionate and impulsive.
Juliet
She is the heroine and one of the protagonists of the story. She is the thirteen-year-old daughter of Capulet. She begins the play as a naive child who has thought little about love and marriage, but she is a happy, romantic, and an innocent girl who falls in love with Romeo.
