Most Wanted: A Chancellor(143x gelesen)
|Most Wanted: A Chancellor for Germany|
After Germany´s Bundestag elections last Sunday, the democratic parties seem to suffer from the difficulties set by the German Grundgesetz.
Only more than 50 per cent of the delegates´ votes may usually establish a new Chancellor in respect of the constitution.
Actually, none of the reasonable political constellations (Conservatives and Liberal or a left-wing coalition as experienced in the last 7 years) would gain 50 per cent or more, so most likely, German voters will have to put up with a big coalition or even reelections.
As a consequence of these political insecurities, the DAX, Germany´s most important index has been trading down since monday nearly 150 points, coming from at about 5,000 points. Today´s close was at 4,875.22, the lowest level since early September.
